Tiger Quartet Named to Field Hockey All-America
Four members of the Princeton field hockey team earned All-America honors when the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced the 2009 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-America Teams.

Yale's Stuper Named NFHCA Mideast Coach of the Year
After leading the Yale field hockey team to a 12-5 record that included a school record for Ivy League wins, Pam Stuper has been named the Dita/NFHCA Mideast Region Coach of the Year for the 2009-10 season.

NFHCA Recognizes 13 Ivies for All-Region
The 2009 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Region Field Hockey Teams were announced recently and 13 Ivy League student-athletes were recognized. Princeton, which had four first team selections, earned seven selections. Cornell and Yale, which had two first team selections, both received three nominations to the All-Region Teams.

No. 1 Maryland Outlasts Valiant Princeton Effort in FH
Princeton was down 4-1 to No. 1 Maryland after 36 minutes in National semi-final at Wake Forest's Kentner Field. After a fifteen minute flurry that saw three goals, the Tigers tied the game at 4-4 only to see the Terps seize control with three more goals to advance to the NCAA Final, 7-5.

Princeton Bests Syracuse, 7-3; Heads to Final Four
The Princeton field hockey team continued its potent offensive play in a convincing 7-3 victory over Syracuse today at the Class of '52 Stadium. The win means that the Tigers earn a showdown against No. 1 Maryland in the NCAA Semifinals.

Princeton Field Hockey Rolls in Opening Round
The Princeton field hockey team navigated its first test of the 2009 NCAA tournament with a confident 4-0 result against Stanford. The Ivy League champs will now entertain Syracuse in the quarterfinals on Sunday at 2 pm.

All-Ivy Women's Field Hockey -- 2009
In 2008, Princeton's then-newcomer Katie Reinprecht made history as the first-ever freshman to earn unanimous selection as the All-Ivy Player of Year. After 13 goals and 12 assists in 2009, it doesn't appear that she wants to relinquish the title just yet.

The Road to Kentner Will Go Through Princeton
The fourth-ranked Princeton field hockey team learned it would face 14th-ranked Stanford in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Field Hockey Tournament. The Tigers will host a regional at Class of '52 Stadium that will also feature No. 8 Syracuse and No. 9 Boston College.

Ivy Field Hockey Weekly Awards 10 - 11/10
Yale's Dinah Landshut had two goals, including the game-winner, and an assist in a 6-2 win over Brown that gave the Bulldogs a school-record six Ivy League wins. She opened the scoring and then upped Yale’s lead to 3-0 in the second half. She has eight assists and 16 points on the year for the Bulldogs.

Princeton Skilled to Perfection in Field Hockey
The fourth-ranked Princeton field hockey team completed its second-straight and 13th overall perfect Ivy League season as it blanked Penn 7-0 to secure a perfect 7-0 league record. The Tigers outscored Ivy opponents 46-5 on the year and now await an opponent for the NCAA Tournament.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 9 - 11/3
Sophomore Katie Reinprecht (pic.) had a goal and three assists to help lead Princeton to a 10-1 win over Cornell. The win clinched Princeton’s fifth-straight Ivy League championship. The Co-Player of the Week scored the game’s first goal and assisted on the team’s second, third and fifth.

Princeton Rolls to Fifth-Straight Field Hockey Title
The Princeton field hockey team defeated Cornell, 10-1, to clinch at least a share of its fifth consecutive Ivy League title and the League's automatic NCAA berth. It marks the Tigers' 19th overall Ivy title and 14th in the last 15 years.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 8 - 10/27
Forward Gabby Kozlowski played a huge role in helping Columbia to a 2-1 record last week. In the three games, the first-year worked her way into the starting line-up and contributed two goals and an assist for the Lions. The Rookie of the Week ranks fourth on the team with seven points on the year.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 7 - 10/20
Senior Ashley McCauley had seven points over the weekend, including a pair of goals and an assist in Yale’s 5-2 win over Dartmouth that gave the Bulldogs sole possession of second place in the Ivy League. McCauley now has 24 points on the year.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 6 - 10/13
Kat Sharkey continues to pace the League-leading Princeton Tigers. The reigning Rookie of the Year scored two goals and added an assist in split of games with top-ranked Maryland and American. She scored in a 3-2 loss at Maryland as the Tigers pushed the defending NCAA champions to overtime and had a goal and an assist in a last-minute win over American.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 5 - 10/6
Kat Sharkey scored a goal in each of Princeton’s wins over the weekend against Columbia and fifth-ranked Connecticut. The reigning Rookie of Year leads the Ivy League in goals (11) and total points (29) through 10 games with the Tigers.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 4 - 9/29
In a 2-0 weekend for Dartmouth, Kelly Hood collected an amazing 16 points on seven goals and two assists. Against Brown in an 8-3 win, she rewrote the Ivy League single game goal record with a five-goal performance then followed up with two goals and two assists in a 4-2 win over Bryant.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 3 - 9/22
Catie De Stio provided all of the Big Red’s offense this past weekend as Cornell picked up a pair of wins over Penn and Lehigh. Against the Quakers, she scored all three goals, on five total shots, including the 3-2 overtime game-winner. Versus the Mountainhawks, the junior scored the lone goal of the game.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 2 - 9/15
Chloe Keating totaled three goals and three assists to lead the Harvard Crimson to two wins this week. The junior had a hand in each of Harvard's goals in a 4-1 win against UC Davis, scoring twice in the first half and assisting both in the second. She also had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Bryant.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 1 - 9/8
Cornell's Kelley Kantarian (pic.) registered seven points as she helped the Big Red get off to a 2-0 start with victories over Davidson and Georgetown. She joins Princeton's Kat Sharkey — who also scored three goals on the weekend, including the game-winner over No. 18 Ohio State — as Co-Players of the Week.

Woolley Named to Continue Columbia's Resurgence
Jana Woolley, the Lions’ assistant coach for the last two seasons, has officially been named Head Field Hockey Coach, in a release announced today. She takes over the reins for Katie Beach, who resigned to relocate to Bermuda with her family.

More Accolades for Reinprecht
Princeton's Katie Reinprecht has been chosen as the 2008 ECAC Division I Rookie of the Year. The freshman was eighth in the nation with 2.39 points per game, as Princeton posted a 17-3 record. She was also named the Ivy League Player of the Year and also a second-team All-America.

Reinprecht and Sharkey Tabbed for All-America
Princeton freshmen Katie Reinprecht (pictured) and Kathleen Sharkey were honored as All-Americas on Monday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Reinprecht was a second-team honoree while Sharkey was named to the third team.

Eleven Named to All-Region Teams in Field Hockey
The Ivy League is once again well represented on the 2008 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Region Field Hockey Teams. Eleven players were selected, including four first-team distinctions for a second year in a row. Princeton led the charge with four selections.

Princeton Bows Out of NCAAs in Overtime Heartbreak
Nicole Nelson’s overtime goal lifted Syracuse past the Ivy League champion Princeton field hockey team 3-2 on Sunday in the quarterfinal round of the 2008 NCAA tournament. The Tigers finished the season 17-3 and 7-0 in the League.

Princeton Into Quarters With 2-0 Win Over Penn State
Freshman Katie Reinprecht scored both goals as the ninth-ranked Princeton field hockey team shut out 11th-ranked Penn State 2-0 in the opening round of the 2008 NCAA field hockey tournament at Syracuse. Princeton advanced to face the Orange in tomorrow’s quarterfinals.

All-Ivy Field Hockey -- 2008
Princeton's Katie Reinprecht burst onto the Ivy scene with a strong pedigree and national team experience. In her freshman year, she took the League by storm. The unanimous Player of the Year selection also broke new ground in the process. Fellow Tiger Kat Sharkey took Rookie of the Year.

Tigers Surge Past Stanford, 8-2; Earn Penn State Date
Princeton field hockey had two choices for today. The Tigers could hope their Ivy League title and No. 6 RPI would earn them a spot in the NCAA tournament, or they could take matters into their own hands. Unfortunately for NorPac champion Stanford, Princeton emphatically chose the latter.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 10 - 11/11
Freshman forward Leslie Springmeyer led Brown to a 4-1 win over Yale, as she had a hand in all four of Brown’s goals. Springmeyer scored her first career hat-trick and assisted the other goal for a career-high seven points, one shy of tying the Brown record for points in a game.

All Four Won: Princeton Claims Field Hockey Title
Sarah Reinprecht and Holly McGarvie each had a goal in their final Ivy League game, helping Princeton to a 5-0 win over Penn at Class of 1952 Stadium on Friday. The win marked the fourth consecutive Ivy League title for the Tigers.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 9 - 11/3
Ashley McCauley enjoyed a seven-point weekend, including a game-winning overtime goal against Columbia and two goals and an assist in a 6-0 win over Quinnipiac, to help Yale to pair of wins. She has nine goals in the Bulldogs' last seven games.

Three Field Hockey Ivies Named All-America
The Ivy League had three representatives named to the 2007 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-America teams. Princeton's Paige Schmidt — a three-time All-America — was named to the second team, while Columbia's Gena Miller and Yale's Harriet Thayer each received third team honors.

12 Ivies Selected to All-Region Teams
The Ivy League is well represented on the 2007 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Region Field Hockey Teams. No less than 12 players were selected, including four first-team distinctions. Princeton led the charge with four selections in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

All-Ivy Field Hockey -- 2007-08
In a repeat of the last two years, the field hockey Ivy League champion Princeton Tigers picked up the Player of the Year award. And once again it was senior defender Paige Schmidt who ran away with the distinction for the third straight year.

Princeton Claims Field Hockey Crown
The Princeton Tigers ended any speculation of a four-way championship in field hockey with a 3-1 victory at Penn on Friday. The Tigers, at 6-1 in League games, wins the Ivy title outright.

You asked for it ... and you got it. Entering the final weekend of the field hockey season — with everything still yet to be decided — the Ivy League officially releases its tie-breaking scenarios. No less than five teams still have a chance at the League's sole play-in bid.

Painting the Town Rojo y Azul
The Penn field hockey team is currently in Buenos Aires for the next week and a half practicing and playing against the top club teams in Argentina. Penn players will blog updates about the trip while in the capital city.

Buenos Yalies
Continuing Yale's tradition of expanding horizons through international travel, the Bulldogs field hockey team spent spring break in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Team members documented the trip with regular updates for fans back home.

All Around the World
Harvard field hockey player Francine Polet was born in the Holland, grew up in Malaysia, lived in Belgium for a while, and went to high school in Hong Kong. Click here to read about how her athletic experience helped the transition to life in Cambridge.

Katie Bradshaw of the Cornell field hockey team knows a few things about defense. Over the summer she found herself defending at a slightly different venue — preserving the loggerhead sea turtle population at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area in N.C.
