Yale's Babony ('06) to Skate for Slovakia
Former Yale women's ice hockey player Natalie Babony has been named to the Slovakian Olympic Team for the upcoming Vancouver Winter Games. She is the third player in the history of Yale women's hockey to make an Olympic team roster and puts the Ivy League's total number of participants at 10.

Joe Nieuwendyk, a 20-year veteran of the National Hockey League and a former Cornell men's hockey player, has been named general manager of the Dallas Stars. The post reunites him with the club where he won his second of three Stanley Cup titles and the Conn Smythe Trophy.
Four Ivies Win Gold at IIHF Women’s World Championship
It was gold for Team USA and for the Ivy League as four current and former Ivy standouts helped lead the U.S. to the gold medal at the 2009 IIHF Women’s World Championship in Hameenlinna, Finland.

The 186th meeting between Harvard and Dartmouth kicked off each school's 2009-10 season in Hanover, N.H. Since that century-old rivalry began and the formal beginning of Division I play in 1948, there have been thousands of hockey games.
