Women's Basketball Weekend Preview for Feb. 17-18

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League has reached the midway point of the 2011-12 season and the action this weekend will dictate how the rest of the campaign will play out. Princeton takes its 7-0 record into Columbia and Cornell and the teams jockeying for second-place will face key matchups this weekend.

Harvard, sitting in third-place at 5-2, will face Brown on Friday and Yale on Saturday, the fourth and second-place teams, respectively. The Crimson defeated the Bears earlier this season, 65-57 at home, but fell to Yale, 68-63. The Bulldogs are looking to sweep Harvard for the second-straight season. Dartmouth will also take on Yale and Brown over the weekend. The Big Green's contest against the Bulldogs will be televised on the YES Network.

In other Ivy action, Penn sits a game behind Cornell with an opportunity to tie the Big Red on Friday. The Quakers will then travel to New York to face the Lions.

“Inside Ivy League Basketball” hits the airwaves again for its 10th episode on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. Hosted by Dan Loney and Brian Seltzer, “Inside” takes an in-depth look at all the news and notes surrounding Ivy men's and women's basketball on and off the courts during the 2011-12 season. The 12-episode show debuted Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. on BlogTalkRadio.com (blogtalkradio.com/insideivyleaguebasketball) and is available on-demand via BlogTalkRadio and IvyLeagueSports.com.
