Women's Basketball Weekend Preview for Feb. 3-4

PRINCETON, N.J. -- For the first time in 2011-12, all eight Ivy League teams will play back-to-back conference contests, with games on Friday and Saturday, February 3-4.

Two-time defending champion and preseason favorite Princeton (13-4, 3-0 Ivy) returns to the court for the first time since Jan. 15 after hitting the books for exams. The Tigers will face two tough tasks, as they will take on Brown (11-7, 2-2 Ivy) on Friday and Yale (11-7, 3-1 Ivy) on Saturday at Jadwin Gym.

The Bulldogs, who will square off against Penn (8-9, 1-2 Ivy) on Friday, have an opportunity not only to take over the top spot in the Ivy League but also to give head coach Chris Gobrecht her 500th career win. She currently has 498. Brown then travels to take on Penn in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Harvard (9-8, 2-1 Ivy) and Dartmouth (2-15, 0-3 Ivy) will each take to the road to face Cornell (8-9, 2-1 Ivy) and Columbia (2-15, 0-3 Ivy).

"Inside Ivy League Basketball" returns for its eighth episode on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. Hosted by Dan Loney and Brian Seltzer, "Inside" takes an in-depth look at all the news and notes surrounding Ivy men's and women's basketball on and off the courts during the 2011-12 season. The 12-episode show debuted Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. on BlogTalkRadio.com (blogtalkradio.com/insideivyleaguebasketball) and is available on-demand via BlogTalkRadio and IvyLeagueSports.com.
