LAKE KARAPIRO, New Zealand -- Eighteen former Ivy League rowers will compete in the 2010 World Rowing Championships, which begin Sunday, Oct. 31 in Lake Karapiro, New Zealand.
Sixteen of the rowers are members of the United States National Team while Harvard's Malcolm Howard, a three-time national champion with the Crimson, will represent Canada in the men's single sculls and Yale's Ashley Brzozowicz will also compete for Canada in the women's eight. Former Radcliffe All-American Esther Lofgren, a member of the U.S. women's eight, is tracking the U.S. team at the event through her blog.
