PRINCETON, N.J. -- Penn junior attack Caroline Cummings was named Offensive Player of the Week and Princeton senior goalie Ellie DeGarmo was named Defensive Player of the Week.

LEAGUE NOTES
• The Ivy League went 6-2 over its opening weekend for the second-straight year.

• Penn won at Delaware, which came into the game in the receiving votes category. Princeton and Cornell combined to outscore their opponents, Temple and Villanova respectively, 37-9.

• The Quakers, Tigers and Big Red all remain in the national rankings. Penn leads the way at No. 10/, followed by Princeton (No. 12/) and Cornell No. 14/).

• Six of this week’s games will be broadcast live on The Ivy League Digital Network (ILDN), now available on Apple TV and Roku via the ILDN app.

• The highlight of this week’s #IvyLax action is No. 6 Penn State at No. 14 Cornell on Saturday on ILDN.

• Brown faces No. 20 Louisville, Penn takes on No. 18 Johns Hopkins, Harvard plays BC and Princeton faces Virginia.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Penn junior attack Caroline Cummings (Menlo Park, Calif.) registered five goals and one ground ball in a 9-7 win over Delaware, which came into the game in the receiving votes category of the InsideLacrosse.com national poll. She scored four of her team’s six goals in the first half and her final goal of the game gave the Quakers an 8-6 lead they would not relinquish.

Cummings takes home her first career Ivy League weekly award.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Princeton senior goalie Ellie DeGarmo (Baltimore) picked up where she left off, as the reigning Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year allowed just three goals while making 12 stops in a 19-3 win over Temple. The Owls, who came into the game 2-0 and averaging 15.5 goals per game, were held to their lowest score since a 17-3 loss to Florida on March 28, 2015.

DeGarmo takes home her fifth career Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honor.
