PRINCETON, N.J. -- Columbia junior attack Victoria Kalamaras and Harvard senior attack Marisa Romeo share Offensive Player of the Week, while Cornell senior defender Catie Smith is named Defensive Player of the Week.

LEAGUE NOTES
• Conference play began for the #IvyLax teams, with Columbia, Cornell, Harvard and Princeton all winning their League openers.

• The Lions defeated Dartmouth, marking their first-ever win over the Big Green to improve to 3-1, marking their best start since 2009.

• Cornell held off Penn in a rematch of last year’s Ivy League Tournament Championship, 10-4.

• The Big Red moved up to No. 11 in both polls, while Princeton is No. 9/10 and Penn is No. 12/13.

• The Ancient Eight won all four of its non-conference games last week to improve to 19-5 overall (.792).

• The upcoming week features a number of top-ranked opponents, including eight games on The Ivy League Digital Network (ILDN), now available on Apple TV and Roku via the ILDN app, highlighted by No. 8 Notre Dame at No. 9 Princeton on Saturday.

CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Columbia junior attack Victoria Kalamaras (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) tallied seven points on two goals and five assists in the Lions’ 17-10 win over Dartmouth, their first-ever victory over the Big Green. Kalamaras is the first Lion to be named Offensive Player of the Week since Kacie Johnson on April 16, 2012.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cornell senior defender Catie Smith (Berwyn, Pa.) was stellar in the Big Red’s 10-4 win at No. 10 Penn, totaling four caused turnovers, two draw controls and one ground ball. Cornell’s defense held the Quakers scoreless in the second half, the first time the Big Red held an opponent scoreless for an entire half since March 20, 2011 against Notre Dame. Smith takes home her third career Defensive Player of the Week honor and first of the season.
