Yale Draws William & Mary in the First Round of the 2011 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships

2011 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships: Bracket | Selection Show

INDIANAPOLIS -- Ivy League women's tennis co-champion Yale is heading south for the first round of the 2011 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships to face William & Mary at Duke's Ambler Tennis Stadium in Durham, N.C.

The Bulldogs, ranked No. 30 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Poll, will play No. 43 William & Mary at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 14 with host Duke taking on Richmond in the other first-round match. The first-round winners advance to face each other in the second round at 2 p.m on Sunday, May 15.

Yale shared the 2011 Ivy League women's title with Dartmouth as both team posted identical 6-1 Ivy records. The Bulldogs received the League's NCAA Tournament automatic bid by virtue of its head-to-head win over the Big Green on April 17.
